Claire Clinton
England & Wales - Lead Director
Claire has been an advisory teacher for over 20 years working in Essex, Redbridge, Newham, Camden and Barking & Dagenham, as well as nationally for DfE, QCDA and TDA. She is passionate about teachers and pupils being given the tools to be able to learn, discuss and reflect about religion and beliefs in the 21st century. Claire believes that an education in religion and worldviews is a fundamental foundation enabling pupils to develop skills of critical evaluation and dialogue so they can live & contribute well in a pluralistic society and world.
Claire is at present Director of RE, PSHE, School Council and Pupil Parliament in Newham, as well as the RE advisor in Barking & Dagenham and Camden. She led for five years nationally the RE Leadership Programme and now sits on the steering group. She enjoys her work as the lead director for RE Hubs for England and Wales. She organises the London and South East AREIAC group and sits on the NASACRE executive where her brief is SACRE training and professional development.
