Lynda Maddock

I am very pleased to be a member of the RE Hubs steering group and delighted that Wales is a part of this initiative to support excellent Religion, Values and Ethics education.  Across my long career as an RE teacher, TRS lecturer, PGCE Course Director and Subject Officer for GCSE Religious Studies at WJEC/Eduqas, my goal has always been to promote high-quality, academic RVE education.

Until recently, I was a long-serving member of the National Advisory Panel for RE in Wales and was also a member of the Wales Association of SACRE for many years.  Currently, I sit on the executive committee of AULRE and have just joined my seventh SACRE (SACRVE). I feel that the RE Hubs project provides the opportunity to complement the range of support already in place for teachers and learners, by working to strengthen connections as Wales navigates a new curriculum.
